A quick bit about me

My name is Kadir. I am 11 and I am in 6th grade. It all started when I opened up a broken toy: wires, a small motor and a green board covered in tiny pieces. I wanted to learn what that board was for, and I am still learning.

For now I do my electronics on a breadboard. Circuits that blink LEDs, a simple alarm with a buzzer, some tries with a distance sensor. I burned out an LED once because I picked the wrong resistor, so now I work the numbers out in my notebook first. I only use the soldering iron with my dad.

I started coding with Scratch and made small games. Then I moved to Python. Right now I write short programs that pick a number, do sums and answer questions, and I run my Arduino with code too. Code hardly ever works the first time, and hunting for the mistake is part of the job.

My third thing is the 3D printer. I draw in Tinkercad and then print. Mostly I design boxes for my own circuits, and new pieces to replace small ones that broke. In exam weeks my desk stays closed, and in the holidays I finish what I left half done.

What I work with

  • Breadboard and jumper wires
  • Arduino
  • Multimeter
  • Soldering iron (with my dad)
  • Scratch and Python
  • Tinkercad and a 3D printer
